Community

The community that surrounds our school is part of who we are, and our children thrive with this support. We’re part of a larger organisation with excellence in education at its heart. This includes families, carers, the local community, and the individuals who support us.

We’re connected with like-minded organisations and community groups for people with sensory disabilities. We encourage active participation and integration into our school community.

Other Ways To Get Involved

NextSense Preschool is an inclusive early learning environment for children aged 3-5 years. All children from the local community are welcome. Our model sees children who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or have low vision learning alongside their hearing and sighted peers. We nurture each child’s sense of belonging, being and becoming. Our low 1:5 teacher to student ratio means we can focus on the individual needs of each child.

We partner with Zing Activ, Bricks4Kidz and others to offer school holiday activities. These fun programs are open to our primary school community.

We are the beneficiaries of many generous supporters who support us with funding and resources. This helps us keep our fees as low as possible to assist families.

You can help support NextSense School continue its rich history of education of students with hearing and vision loss in several ways:
