School Community Charter
Our Vision and Commitment
At NextSense School, we believe in each student’s potential. We support them in achieving this by fostering a love of lifelong learning. Our students become informed, critical thinkers, ready to contribute as active citizens. We create an environment where they can grow, learn, and thrive. Our commitment to equity and excellence means every student feels safe and included. We celebrate the strength of our diverse, multicultural community.
We aim to improve the status of the teaching profession. By addressing workload concerns, we support our educators and focus on their wellbeing.

What We Provide
NextSense School strives to build a positive space for students, staff, and the whole school community. This environment promotes student learning and ensures that each child is known, valued, and cared for.
We understand that the best education happens when students, parents, and schools work together.
We All Play a Part
Parents and carers play an integral role in our school community.
- We welcome you into our school and partner with you to promote student learning.
- Our communication is timely, polite and informative. We focus on solutions and the wellbeing of your children.
- We encourage professional relationships with staff, based on transparency, honesty, and mutual respect.
- We embrace diversity and will always treat you fairly, with understanding and tolerance.

Communicating with Our School
We value open communication with families. Our staff will make time to speak with you when they can give you their full attention. Please note that staff may not respond right away while teaching or handling other tasks.
We ensure that all written communication is appropriate, fair, and easy to read. We encourage the use of email as a tool to stay connected with school events and announcements. Our Feedback Policy provides information about how we handle concerns and the complaints process.
Respectful Communication is a Right
In all workplaces, individuals have the right to feel respected. We do not tolerate unacceptable and offensive behaviour in our school community.
To ensure safety and wellbeing, we take steps to address unacceptable behaviour, including:
- aggressive or intimidating actions, such as violence, threatening gestures, or physical proximity
- aggressive or intimidating language, including:
- obscenities
- sexist comments
- racist remarks
- derogatory statements
- rude tone
- unfair treatment based on religion, disability, or other personal characteristics
- inappropriate or time-wasting communication.
By fostering a culture of respect, we create a positive experience for the entire school community.
